METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR FLOW CONTROL IN PROXY MOBILE INTERNET PROTOCOL

A method and system for flow control in proxy mobile Internet Protocol (IP) are provided, which relate to the field of IP network. The method comprises the following steps: two or more IP channels are established between a Mobile Node (MN) and a Local Mobility Anchor (LMA); when the MN decides to migrate one or more multimedia data flows transferred in the first IP channel to the second IP channel, the MN sends flow migration information to the LMA through the Mobile Access Gateway (MAG) of the second IP channel (303,304); after receiving the flow migration information, the LMA modifies flow filter rules according to the flow migration information, and sends the multimedia data flow to be migrated to the MN through the MAG (307). The present scheme solves the problem of the flow migration in Proxy Mobile Internet Protocol version 6 (PMIPv6).
