The pump (1) has a suction channel (9) closed by a closure element (13), which is acted upon by spring force of a spring element (12) on one side. A pressure chamber (14) is provided on a side facing away from the spring element and subjected to lubricant pressure (p1). The chamber stays in an operative connection with a switch element (11) in a lubricant-conductive manner. The channel is opened against the force and simultaneously the switch element is pressed against a drive shaft (10) in a friction fit and form fit manner during subjecting the chamber with the lubricant pressure.
