PURPOSE: A packet detecting apparatus of a signal spread spectrum system for maintaining the packet detection capability n low complexity is provided to implement accurate packet detection by calculating a correlation between sub chirps. CONSTITUTION: A first block includes a plurality of matching filters(211~214). Each matching filter has sub chirp coefficient. A second block calculates correlation between sub chirps. The second block combines cross-correlation operated sub chirps. The sub chips is supplied from each matching filter. A Piconet is located between the first block and the second block.
