<p>The invention relates to a packing carrier casing (26) for a drum brake provided with rings, that comprises a jaw (2) with a rim (5) for securing a friction packing (3), wherein the assembly defines a ring for a drum brake and the packing carrier casing comprises a curved substrate (27) in the form of a cylinder sector that can be directly secured on the rim (5) of said jaw and is provided with a friction packing having a shape adapted to that of said substrate. The invention substantially simplifies the replacement of packing in drum brakes without dismounting the brake jaws.</p> |
