<p>A method and a terminal for cell selection are disclosed in the present invention, and the method includes the following steps: a terminal selects a cell based on a carrier frequency list, wherein, the carrier frequency list carries the information of the carrier frequency used by the network side providing service to the terminal. The terminal includes: a selection module, for selecting a cell based on the carrier frequency list, wherein, the carrier frequency list carries the information of the carrier frequency used by the network side providing service to the terminal. The present invention solves the problem that in existing cell selection method the carrier frequencies of all frequency bands are scanned, which results in a long time for accessing the cell to affect the service quality. The invention can reduce the scanning time of the mobile terminal for initial access or roaming access, so that the user can access the network more quickly and obtain the service required by the user.</p> |
