PURPOSE: A recombinant microorganism transformed by AldH gene encoding glycrol dihydrotase and 3-hydroxypropion aldehyde dehydrogenase is provided to convert 3-hydroxypropion aldehyde to 3-hydroxypropionic acid. CONSTITUTION: A recombinant vector contains dhaB gene encoding glycerol dehydratase, gdrAB gene encoding glyceroldehydratase reactivation factor, and aldH gene encoding aldehyddehydroganase. A recombinant E.coli, BL21-SH-BGA1(KFCC 11420P) is obtained by transforming with the recombinant vector. A 3-hydroxypropionic acid is prepared by culturing the recombinant microorganism in glycerol medium and collecting 3-hydroxypropionic acid from the culture medium.
