The present invention discloses a method for obtaining information of a key management server (KMS), and a method, system and device for monitoring. In the process of enabling a user equipment to perform an IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) registering, the KMS information corresponding to the user equipment is stored in a preset IMS core network element; when a legal monitoring device is monitoring a session initiated by the user equipment, the session request signaling sent by the user equipment is intercepted, the identifier information of the user equipment is obtained from the session request signaling, and according to the identifier information of the user equipment, the KMS information corresponding to the user equipment is searched for in the preset IMS core network element. The technical solution of the present invention satisfies the need of legal monitoring without depending on the signaling layer security when multiple KMSs are deployed in the IP multimedia subsystem.
