The circuit has a pump (3) for supplying a cooling agent to a cooling jacket (5) of an internal combustion engine (2) by a supply line (4). A separating device removes particulate materials in the cooling agent before supplying the cooling agent to the cooling jacket. The pump is designed as a radial centrifugal pump, and a collecting chamber is placed tangential to flow of the cooling agent. The particulate materials are deposited during operation of the pump by influencing centrifugal energy. A part of the collecting chamber is filled with porous foam.
