The device i.e. venous catheter (1), has feed part (2) for a substance, where the feed part is partially inserted within a body part of an animal. A connection for a substance-feed line is arranged at a free end of the feed part. A hand-operated fixing device (9) is arranged at the feed part, where the fixing device exhibits contact elements (10, 11) that penetrate into a region of the body part. The fixing device exhibits an actuation part (12) that is arranged in a rotatably movable manner. The contact element is arranged at rotatably hinged brackets (13, 14) of the actuation part.
