Disclosed is a ferritic stainless steel material which is prevented from grain coarsening when exposed to high-temperature brazing as a heat exchanger member. Specifically disclosed is a ferritic stainless steel material for brazing, which contains, in mass%, 0.03% or less of C, more than 0.1% but 3% or less of Si, 0.1-2% of Mn, 10-35% of Cr, 0.2-0.8% of Nb, and 0.03% or less of N, with the balance made up of Fe and unavoidable impurities, said ferritic stainless steel material for brazing having a partially recrystallized structure wherein the area ratio of recrystallized grains that are formed by heating after cold working is 10-80%. The ferritic stainless steel material for brazing may also contain, if necessary, 4% or less in total of one or more elements selected from among Mo, Cu, V and W. The ferritic stainless steel material for brazing may also contain 0.5% or less in total of either Ti and/or Zr, 5% or less in total of either Ni and/or Co, or one or more components selected from among 6% or less of Al, 0.2% or less of REM (a rare earth element) and 0.1% or less of Ca. |
