METHOD FOR PRODUCING A SILICA SORBENT

The invention pertains to the field of agriculture and relates to a method that comprises preparing a solution of a silicon-containing raw material by adding sodium silicate having a silica modulus of 3.32 to filtered water and by thorough mixing while heating up to 50-55°C. The method also comprises preparing an aqueous solution of battery electrolyte by adding battery electrolyte having a density of 1.835 g/cm3 to filtered water and by thorough mixing while heating up to a temperature of 50-55°C. The aqueous solution of battery electrolyte and the solution of silicon-containing raw material are mixed in equal volumes in a vessel using a mixing device. The mixture is normalized by adding the aqueous solution of accumulation electrolyte thereto until the hydrogen pH index reaches 5-7. The sorbent thus obtained is then filtered and prepackaged in measuring vessels. The invention has the advantage of increasing productivity as it is no longer necessary to carry out the lengthy hydrogel maturing process.
