The solid borne sound sensor has a suspension unit with a suspension spring, another suspension spring and a swinging mass, where the swinging mass is arranged between the suspension springs. The suspension unit has a natural frequency which is greater than 30 kilohertz. Electrode fingers (112) are coupled with the swinging mass. Other electrode fingers (114,116) are decoupled from the swinging mass. An independent claim is also included for a carrier device with a carrier element.
