<p>A method and a veneer for improving the compatibility of BOOT, wherein the method includes: a storage region(10) designated in the veneer is divided into at least two sub-regions(12), in which a kind of hardware configuration word(14) is respectively stored; when the veneer is booted, the identification of the veneer is read from a specified location, and an address of the preset sub-region(12) corresponding to the identification of the veneer is obtained; the preset hardware configuration word(14) of the sub-region(12) is read in the corresponding storage location according to the address of the sub-region(12), and the system is booted according to the read hardware configuration word(14). The method greatly improves the compatibility of BOOT as well as the utilization rate of the veneer, and provides convenience for subsequently maintaining the version of BOOT and updating the subsequent veneer.</p> |
