PURPOSE: A pickup device is provided to easily frame a subject with fast movement for a user without a complex operation or anxiety the zoom magnification. CONSTITUTION: An image processor(20) performs predetermined pixel interpolation processing and color conversion processing about received data from an A/D converter and a memory controller(22). The image processor clips part of the image and performs an electronic zoom function. The image processor performs a predetermined arithmetic operation using the photographed image data. The image processor regularly maintains or reduces the ratio of a display area about a clip record area.
