An antenna system receives an RF signal from first and second antennas and provides a combined signal to a receiver. A splitter splits the RF signal from the first antenna into at least two non-phase shifted signals. A phase shift circuit splits and phase- shifts the RF signal into a non-phase shifted signal and at least one phase shifted signal. A first combiner combines one of the non-phase shifted signals from the splitter and the non-phase shifted signal from the phase shift circuit to produce a first combined signal. A second combiner combines another non-phase shifted signal from the splitter and the phase shifted signal from the phase shift circuit to produce a second combined signal. A logic circuit is electrically connected to the combiners to evaluate the combined signals and determine which has a higher signal quality.
