<p>A method and system for remotely upgrading the firmware of a combined apparatus comprising multiple devices are used for resolving the technical problem in the prior art that only one firmware upgrade packet can be downloaded and the upgrade of the firmware of multiple devices can not be simultaneously completed during remote firmware upgrade. The method comprises the following steps: the master device receives the firmware upgrade packet from an upgrade server, verifies and unpacks the firmware upgrade packet, and distributes the unpacked firmware upgrade packet; the master device and/or the slave device finishes its respective firmware upgrade based on its own firmware upgrade sub-package. The system comprises an upgrade packet receiving module located in the master device, an upgrade flow control module, an upgrade packet processing module; and an upgrade processing module located in the slave devices. With the present invention, the firmware of multiple devices can be upgraded in an effective and remote manner.</p> |
