comprising amino acids 365 to 373 of SEQ ID NO: 11, namely Arg Arg Ala Gln Met Ala Pro Lys Arg, SEQ ID NO: 5.
or a variant of such a fragment, exhibiting at least 70% identity therewith, and which retains the ability to elicit a cellular immune response to HSV or HSV-infected cells or (b) a fusion protein comprising at least one above-defined fragment or variant and an unrelated sequence or comprising multiple above-defined fragments or variants and (2) a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
