A method of continuously forming a multilayer laminate (44/48) of thermoplastic sheeting with one surface thereof having a precision embossed pattern of microprismatic elements thereon, the method being performed with the use of an embossing tool (32) having an inner surface and an outer surface, the outer surface having a precision pattern which is the reverse of the precision pattern to be formed on said one surface of said sheeting (44/48).
