Photometric method for quantitative detection of an analyte in water

The photometric method involves generating a defined amount of a fluid sample containing the analyte, and mixing a defined amount of the reagent with the fluid sample. The color standard has characteristic absorption wave lengths. The reagent-absorption spectrum and the color standard absorption spectrum lie apart so wide that they do not superimpose with the respective absorption spectrums. The photometric absorption of the fluid sample is detected by the color standard-absorption wave lengths.
