<p>Fiber optic connectors on patch cords, or other connectorized and fiber pigtailed devices, are converted to wavelength reflective markers for optical testing using an adaptor, based on a thin film deposition on the fiber end face of a non angled ferrule without any adhesive in the light path, i.e. epoxy free type, which makes the reflective marker compatible with high power light. Furthermore, the surface of the filter is accessible for cleaning or verification. In addition, a locking mechanism is provided that prevents access to the conventional coupling mechanisms between connectors unless a special tool is utilized.</p> |
