摘要 PURPOSE: A Newton ring measurement system and a method thereof are provided to automatically measure a Newton ring by comparing a scanned optical distribution with a saved steady state optical distribution. CONSTITUTION: A Newton ring measurement device includes a memory unit(420), a Newton ring detecting unit(410), and a luminometer(30). The memory unit stores the optical distribution data in a steady state. The Newton ring detecting unit determines whether the Newton ring has a defect by comparing the luminance distribution in a steady state saved in the memory unit. The luminometer measures luminance by using a color difference filter for the lens. The Newton ring detecting unit comprises a scanning module(411), a data conversion module(412), and a Newton ring determination module(413). The scanning module senses luminance data along an optical distribution data measurement reference line. The data conversion module converts the luminance data that is measured from the luminometer into optical distribution data.
