PURPOSE: A positive electrode is provided to suppress the overcharging and to minimize the reduction of discharge capacity in high speed charging/discharging. CONSTITUTION: A positive electrode(110) used for a sodium battery generating electrical energy through sodium ion transfer comprises additive consisting of transition metal or catalyst, and metal sulfide forming an electrode by mixing with the additive. A method for manufacturing the positive electrode comprises the steps of: mixing additive and metal sulfide through a ball milling method; and drying the mixed additive and metal sulfide in a specific condition to prepare a positive electrode.
