<p>The invention relates to a cell collection device (1), comprising a means for collecting cells (2) and a longitudinal handle (3), whereby said means for collecting cells (2) is attachable to the longitudinal handle (3) using a snap release joint (4). The invention further relates to means for collecting cells (2), comprising a fortification zone (11) and a shape suitable for being secured to a longitudinal handle (3) to form a snap-release joint (4). The invention also relates to a method of collecting a sample with a cell collection device, comprising the steps of: a) providing a cell collection device (1) comprising a means for collecting cells (2) and a longitudinal handle (3) mutually securable with a snap-release joint (4); and b) applying a pressure force on the snap-release joint (4) suitable to disengage the longitudinal handle from the means for collecting a sample.</p> |
