<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display proper 2D video and 3D video while considering the fatigue of the eyes. <P>SOLUTION: A video from an output T2 of a 2D/3D converting means is turned into a video L31 shown by 1-3. The video L31 is obtained as a 3D image where images for the right eye and the left eye are arranged side by side on the basis of a T1 signal. When 2D is selected by 2D/3D manual switching, a 2-6 image is supplied to a 3D video display means, and an image L51-2 of 2-9 is displayed. When 3D is selected by the 2D/3D manual switching, the image of 2-7 is supplied to the 3D video display means, and an image L51-3 of 2-10 is displayed. The image of 2-7 is a 3D image, and a 2D/3D switching control means controls the 3D video display means to realize 3D image display.
