PURPOSE: A handrail for construction work having a length controlling function, which prevents the separation of a fixed handrail and a moveable handrail from the protrusion installed in a veranda, is provided to reduce construction costs by recycling the handrails and to reduce construction period. CONSTITUTION: A handrail for construction work having a length controlling function comprises a fixed handrail(2) and a movable handrail(3). A fixed fitting part is fitted to a protrusion and installed on the fixed handrail. An upper guide tube(22) in which a slit is formed on the lower part is connected to the fixed handrail. A fixed shield net(24) is installed by connecting a lower guide pipe and an upper guide pipe.
