PURPOSE: A buoyant bulletproof vest using a polyurethane air cell sheet is provided to effectively protect a wearer from a drowning accident by the prevention of deformation due to temperature and pressure. CONSTITUTION: A buoyant bulletproof vest using a polyurethane air cell sheet comprises a front panel(10), a back panel(20), a head back protecting unit(30), a pair of waist-belts, and a cover(27). The front panel, the back panel, and the head back protecting unit are made of an outer cover, bulletproof materials, and buoyant materials. A pair of waist-belts press the front panel and the back panel to the chest and back of a wearer. The cover is detachably attached to the front panel through an attachment unit. A polyurethane air cell sheet is inserted into the inside of the surface cover.
