PURPOSE: An information processing device, an electronic component transferring system, and a method for controlling the position of the electronic component are provided to recognize a relation between the receiving position and the pickup position of an electronic component by detecting a readable mark on a tape by using a laser sensor. CONSTITUTION: A controller(140) controls the position of an electronic component by the position determination information. A signal detector(141) detects an encoder signal outputted from an absolute encoder(120). A motor driving controller(142) controls a motor(130) which rotates a sprocket(110). A transceiver(143) receives position determination information generated from an information processor(200) and records the position determination information in a memory unit(145). A transfer controller(144) controls the electronic component in the pickup position based on the position determination information.
