PURPOSE: A liquid crystal alignment agent is provided to form a liquid crystal alignment film with burn-in resistant and to ensure good printability although printing with a small amount of fluid. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal alignment agent comprises at least one kind of polymer selected from the group consisting of polyamic acid and polyimide, wherein the polymer has a group represented by chemical formula(1) at a part of molecules thereof. In chemical formula 1, R is a group containing a liquid crystal alignment property, and X^I is a single bond, -O-, #-COO- or #-OCO-. |
