<p>The subject matter of the invention is the use, as an aqueous-paint thickener, of an aqueous solution of a polyether of at least one polyoxyalkylene and of at least one alpha-olefin epoxide, and/or of at least one aliphatic or aromatic glycidyl ether, and at least one surfactant of chemical formula Cx H2x+1 - (OX) y - OH where OX denotes an oxyalkylated unit, and characterized in that: - for the polyether, the (polyoxyalkylene:alpha-olefin epoxide or glycidyl ether) molar ratio is between (1:4) and (1:10), - for the surfactant, 6 < x ⤠12 and 5 < y < 12, - said solution has a (polyether/surfactant) mass ratio of between 2.0 and 0.5 and has a water content of between 30% and 75% of the total weight thereof. The subject matter of the invention is also the paint containing such a thickening system.</p> |
