PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a sound absorbing material is provided to improve sound absorption effect through a lattice body and to enable the manufacture of a standardized sound absorbing material without a cutting process. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a sound absorbing material comprises the steps of: preparing slug particles by drying paper sludge; preparing a lattice(2) with a plurality of lattice portions(21) in which the top and bottom is opened; preparing a material(3) by mixing a binder with the slug particles; and filling the materials in the lattice portions and dying them to mold the sound absorbing material.
