PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an air bag cover for a steering wheel is provided to manufacture an air bag cover of a single part type with an emblem part which has metallic gloss and texture by one time injection molding. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing an air bag cover for a steering wheel comprises the following steps. An emblem decorative film(15) is molded using a film with metallic gloss and texture. The emblem decorative film is closely attached to a decorative film arrangement area of an outer molding unit(105). The cavity corresponding to the shape of the airbag cover is formed between the outside molding unit of the outside mold(100) and inner side molding unit(210) of the inner side mold(200). Outer and inner molds are engaged so that a cavity corresponding to the shape of an air bag cover is formed between an outer molding unit of an outer mold(100) and an inner molding unit of an inner mold.
