FIELD: fire-fighting means. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire-extinguishing equipment with application of dispersed water (DW) and can be used for extinguishing various fires. Fire-extinguishing element in form of thin-walled hermetic capsule, filled with fire-extinguishing liquid (for instance, water), getting into fire flame explodes with small time delay with formation of cloud of dispersed liquid. Novelty lies in the fact that capsule has elongated form, time of explosion delay being determined by smallest transverse dimension of capsule. Longitudinal size of capsule is not limited. Capsule can have cylindrical form and be made of glass. Time of vapour explosion delay is regulated by not only wall material, transverse dimensions of capsule, but also by thickness of capsule wall. ^ EFFECT: essential (by more than an order) reduction of capsule number, necessary for extinguishing specified flame volume. ^ 5 cl, 1 tbl |
