PURPOSE: A protection relay is provided to minimize the number of electric wires in connection between a main controller and each relay controller by testing each relay controller through serial communication. CONSTITUTION: A filter and fuse part(11) prevent the inflow of over-currents. A constant voltage supplying part(12) supplies a current constant voltage to an internal circuit. A key inputting part(14) obtains the control of a user. A digital inputting part(15) obtains a digital controlling signal from the outside. A controller(18) outputs a direct current voltage and communication data through a communicating part(19) according to the control command of the digital inputting part.
