PURPOSE: A cleaning device and a dust collecting method using the same are provided to prevent a failure of a dust collection unit even if the dust collection unit is washed with water because no electronic parts are installed in the dust collection unit. CONSTITUTION: A cleaning device comprises a main body(10), a brush unit(60), a blower unit(70), and a dust collection unit(80). The brush unit is installed in the center of the main body and allowed to rotate. The blower unit is installed in the front area of the main body and provides a suction force. The dust collection unit is detachably installed in the rear area of the main body, separately from the blower unit, and stores dust.
