<p>A method and kit for detection and identification of Herpesvirus in a test sample, in particular of HSV-1, HSV-2 and/or HHV-6, are described. The test sample is subjected to amplification with particularly advantageous combinations of amplification primers. Amplification may be followed by hybridisation to virus-specific probes. A method and kit further allowing efficient detection of VZV, CMV, EBV, Enterovirus, HHV-7 and HHV- 8 are further described.</p> |
