PURPOSE: A display device performing partial channel search and a channel search method thereof are provided to store information about a channel which senses an interrupt condition in case a channel searching interrupt condition is sensed. CONSTITUTION: A tuner unit(110) successively searches a broadcast signal according to each channel. A controller(150) determines the searched broadcast signal and configures a channel map. The controller senses whether the channel search interrupt condition generates. The controller controls corresponding interrupt history information. A memory unit(160) stores the channel map and stopping history information according to the control signal of the controller.
