PURPOSE: A hydraulic cylinder is provided to prevent the leakage of oil and nitrogen gas and the infiltration of dust by employing multiple sealing systems. CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic cylinder(10) comprises a cylinder(31) having a shaft hole, a piston(32) which is inserted in the shaft hole of the cylinder, and a sealing member which is installed in annular mounting grooves(31a,31b) formed in the inner circumference of the shaft hole in order to seal the annular gap between the piston and the hole. The sealing member comprises a lip(12a1) which is extended in the axial direction and slides on the piston. A micro-gap is formed in the edge of the lip in order to prevent the protrusion of the lip. An annular gap of for cavitation prevention is formed opposite to the mounting grooves with respect to the micro-gap.
