PURPOSE: A light emission device and a display device using the same are provided to prevent damage to an electron emission unit by forming the electron emission unit on the first electrode in a recess region. CONSTITUTION: A substrate body comprises a concave part in which a stripe pattern is formed. A first electrode(12) is formed in the concave part having the stripe pattern parallel with the concave part. An electron emission unit(15) is formed on the first electrode in the concave part. A shielding layer is arranged between the substrate body and the electron emission unit. A second electrode(32) is combined in the front side of the substrate body through anodic bonding.
