The barbecue has a box (10) defined by a side wall (11), a bottom wall (12), and an open top (13). An evacuation conduit (30) includes an inlet (31) in the bottom wall, and an outlet (32) located at a level higher than that of the top of the box. The evacuation conduit is arranged so that a wall portion (34) constitutes a part of the side wall. A conduit (40) is connected between a central area (15) of the box and the wall portion, where the conduit includes an opening (49) formed in its bottom part on a portion its length.
