The device has a hydraulic system (3) connecting a hydraulic receiver (2) to a hydraulic transmitter. The hydraulic receiver actuates a clutch (5) with respect to the rise in pressure of the hydraulic fluid. The hydraulic system includes a tank (6) communicating with the hydraulic receiver and containing a hydraulic fluid volume that increases with the pressure in the hydraulic system according to a non-linear law evolving towards a saturation limit.
