The process comprises preparing glass ceramic materials comprising glass particles and crystalline nanoparticles by (non) hydrolytic sol-gel process in which the growth of nanoparticles is produced along the direction of glass materials, and partially removing the glass materials to produce crystalline nanoparticles coated with glass material. A xerogel precursor salt is formed intermediately in which the nanoparticles are filled. The preparation of the glass ceramic particles comprises preparing metal alkoxide solution and nanoparticle salt precursor, hydrolyzing and partially condensing the metallic alkoxide solution for forming a salt, introducing nanoparticle precursor salt in the ground, gelling the obtained ground, drying the gel and forming a xerogel, introducing the precursor salt in the xerogel, and heat treating the doped xerogel at 700-1000[deg] C for growing the nanoparticles along the direction of glass matrix. The removal of glass materials is carried out by a chemical treatment with hydrofluoric acid or aqueous base solution, or by plasma treatment.</p> |
