PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof housing allowing operation on a touch panel while housing an imaging apparatus having the touch panel, and an imaging method using the waterproof housing. SOLUTION: A casing 101 of the waterproof housing includes a transmission part to transmit operation on the touch panel 202 of the imaging apparatus from the outside of the casing 101 to the touch panel 202. The transmission part includes a magnet 105a and an energizing member 105b. When a pen tip 104a of a touch pen 104 having opposite magnetism to the magnet 105a approaches from the outside of the casing 101, the magnet 105a moves toward the touch panel 202, and operation on the touch panel 202 is carried out.
