PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display panel-driving device which automatically detects a remaining pin of a driver IC to enable only the used pin output display data. SOLUTION: The display panel-driving device includes a driver IC2 which drives a display panel 12; a remaining pin-detecting means 15, which detects a remaining pin which is not allocated to the wiring of a display panel among the pins of the driver IC2; and a control means which controls the pin output of the driver IC, in accordance with the result of the detection made by the remaining pin-detecting means.
