PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera which can be used underwater and which contributes to improvement in corrosion resistance of an appearance component. SOLUTION: The camera includes: a discrimination means discriminating whether water is seawater when the camera exists underwater; a housing 11 composed of a nonconductor and keeping content housed inside the camera watertight to the outside; an electric substrate 12a provided inside the housing; an electrode 13 having a portion exposed to the outside of the housing; a first external member including a metallic surface; second external members 15 and 16 electrically conducted to the first external member and having a metallic surface different from the metallic surface of the first external member; a ground induction means inducing an electric ground of the electric substrate to the outside of the housing and connected to the first external member or the second external member; an applied voltage generation source electrically connected to the electrode and giving predetermined potential thereto; and a control means provided between the electrode and the applied voltage generation source and performing control that potential of the applied voltage generation source is given to the electrode when the discrimination means determines that the water is seawater.
