PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fine particulate measuring instrument, fitted as a portable type and which is capable of measuring fine particulates with high sensitivity and high efficiency. SOLUTION: The fine particulate measuring instrument includes: a unidirectionally rotatable outside shell 11a; the inside shell 11b, arranged in a concentric and non-rotational state with respect to the outside shell; and the fine particulate capturing blades 13 formed in the inner peripheral surface of the outside shell. A beam splitter 29 is arranged in the through-hole of the inside shell, while a moving mirror 31 and a fixed mirror 33 are respectively arranged in axial and radial directions, with respect to the beam splitter 29. Furthermore, a fine particulate detecting element 5 is arranged facing the fixed mirror centered about the beam splitter and the beam splitter is irradiated with the laser beam from the axial direction, to synchronously control the interference light irradiation timing from the beam splitter and the timing for processing the detection output of the fine particulate detecting element in order to measure the fine particulates.
