PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chopping board on which a handicapped or elderly person who cannot freely use his or her hands can cut food materials straight across and easily. SOLUTION: The chopping board 1 includes a pillar 2 provided with a tip receiving part 3 and a frame 4 provided with a guide slit 5. A food material is placed on the board surface 31 of the chopping board 1, preferably under the guide slit 5, a blade body 52 of a kitchen knife 50 is introduced into the guide slit 5 from above the food material, and a tip 51 is locked in the tip receiving part 3. The blade body 52 is rotated downward along the guide slit 5 with the tip 51 as a fulcrum.
