A set of podiatric instruments consists of a toenail filing instrument (2) and a toe-restraining instrument (4). The toenail filing instrument (2)comprises a handle (6) at a proximal end zone thereof, a file (8) at a distal end zone thereof, and a shank (10) interconnecting the handle (6) and the file (8), the handle (6) including a protrusion (12) therefrom for deterring slipping of the user's hand relative to the shank (10). The file (8) comprises an abrasive surface inclined posteriorly and proximally. The toe-restraining instrument (4) comprises a handle (22A) or (22B) at one end zone thereof and a toe-restraining hook (18A) or (18B) at an opposite end zone thereof, with a larger hook (18B) at one end zone and a smaller hook (18A) at the opposite end zone. The hooks are designed to be comfortable fits for most toe sizes to support a toe and keep it stable while performing a treatment thereon, for example filing its nail. |
