Provided is a method for manufacturing a color filter wherein a plurality of light transmissive color layers (23a, 23b, 23c) having different colors are provided on a transparent substrate (21). The method is provided with: a step of forming a black matrix layer (22) on the transparent substrate (21) by means of a photolithography method; a step of forming one light transmissive color layer selected from among the light transmissive color layers (23a, 23b, 23c) by means of a photolithography method; and a step of forming the rest of the light transmissive color layers among the light transmissive color layers (23a, 23b, 23c) by means of an inkjet method. Thus, the color filter with which excellent image qualities can be obtained can be manufactured at low cost.
