APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CUTTING A GLASS

PURPOSE: A substrate cutting method and apparatus are provided to prevent the collision between two scribers by moving one of the scribers to keep a set interval between the scribers. CONSTITUTION: A substrate cutting method is as follows. A first scriber(30) is carried to press the top surface of a first substrate(10) with a fixed force. A second scriber(40) is carried to a position separate from the first scriber in order to press the bottom surface of a second substrate(20) with a fixed force. The top surface of the first substrate is scribed by the first scriber in a specific direction. Changes in the position of the first scriber are fed back and the second scriber is carried according to the fed-back changes, thereby keeping a set interval between the first and second scribers. The second scriber scribes the bottom surface of the second substrate in a specific direction together with the first scriber. The scribed first and second substrates are cut.
