PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for deliquoring and solidifying liquid-containing sludge, by which liquid components can be effectively separated and deliquored from sludge containing oil, water or the like by using compressed air and a filter body and further drained sludge can be solidified to hardness of easy handling. SOLUTION: When grinding sludge GS is deoiled by using compressed air and is solidified to briquette B in a state of being held by the filter body 10, the filter body 10 is constituted of a net-shaped body having innumerable liquid-passing holes and the sieve opening dimension of the liquid-passing hole in the net-shaped body is set to size where grinding metal swarf in the grinding sludge GS can pass through. Thereby the grinding metal swarf in the grinding sludge GS are accumulated on the filter body 10 to form the filter layer WF of the filter body 10 at the initial stage of a deoiling process for deoiling the grinding sludge GS by using the compressed air.
